We are often asked “Is it safe to come and film in Israel?”
The answer is yes, definitely. There have been several terrorist attacks in the last weeks in and around Jerusalem, but none of them targeted visitors or tourists. Security in Jerusalem is higher than ever. Our production crews in Jerusalem feel completely safe when filming in the Old City of Jerusalem. As for the southern border with Gaza and the northern border with Lebanon and Syria – both are quiet.
There is an ongoing dramatic political turmoil in Israel, as hundreds of thousands of protestors demonstrate against the government attempts to change the nature of the Israeli democracy. These demonstrations are completely peaceful, they are known in advance and secured by massive police presence.
