What is a fixer?
A fixer is a local coordinator, production manager, or field producer. Our fixers are highly experienced professionals. All are fluent in English and some speak additional languages: German, French, Russian, Arabic, Spanish and Japanese.
So why do clients consider us the best fixer services company in Israel and Palestine? First and foremost, because the best fixers in Israel, the West Bank and Gaza work with us.
Our fixers in Israel and Palestine
All our fixers in Israel and Palestine have deep experience in planning and producing documentary, corporate and commercial shoots. Before filming begins, the fixer obtains all the necessary filming permits. Then, while on location with the crew, the fixer stays in constant touch with our Tel Aviv office. Meanwhile, the office provides news alerts, logistical help and online research when needed.
Highlight Films employs both Israeli and Palestinian fixers, and all of them are experts in the field. An Israeli fixer always accompanies productions filming in Israel. Likewise, a Palestinian fixer works with productions in the West Bank or Gaza. Together, our fixers have worked on more than 50 films about history, archaeology and religion. They have also worked on several documentary series and dozens of current-affairs films on both sides of the conflict.
Fixer services in Israel and Palestine: our experience
After more than 25 years of production and location services in Israel & Palestine, one thing is clear: this region never stops attracting documentary filmmakers, producers and showrunners. Our clients come here for many reasons. Some focus on the history of Christianity, Islam or Judaism. Others cover current affairs, sports events or live concerts. Still others follow the complex politics of the Middle East, or the art, culture and night life of Tel Aviv.
Our fixer services are just one part of what we offer. In fact, we often provide a full turnkey package: initial research, location scouting (recce), coordination, filming and post production. Often, only the director or producer travels to Israel, while we handle the shoot. Other times, we work alongside a visiting crew and provide any services they need.
During the Covid waves, we specialized in remote production services in Israel and Palestine. Our remote production tools work very well. As a result, a producer or director can manage the shoot from anywhere in the world.
